Game Check: Fight Night Round 4 Looks Like The Goods

June 16th, 2009 KBadd No comments

EA Sports’ Fight Night Round 4 is set for a multi-platform release on June 23. Without question, the most anticipated addition to the franchise is the inclusion of Mike Tyson in the games almost staggering number (48) of playable characters.

Current pound-for-pound A-listers such as Manny Pacquiao, “Sugar” Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto and Kelly Palvlik make appearances. Notable absences include “Pretty Boy” Floyd Mayweather, Juan Manuel Marquez, Bernard Hopkins and Paul Williams.

Historic notables include Muhammad Ali, “Sugar” Ray Robinson, George Foreman, Joe Frazier, “Sugar” Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns, Jake LaMotta, Roy Jones Jr. and …

SWEET PEA!!!!

One thing that may deter some fans of the franchise and casual gamers alike is the puzzling absence of a control scheme that would allow the utilization of face  buttons for punching. The game will reportedly not ship with this option -- players will have to use the analog controls -- but will be investigated for possible inclusion via downloadable-content in the future.
